Sandals Royal Bahamian Hosts Unveiling Of Balmoral Tower

With much fanfare, Sandals Resorts was pleased to host key travel media and other distinguished guests at a press conference on March 19, 2012 to officially unveil the new Balmoral Tower at Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island in Nassau, Bahamas.

The day began with mimosas in hand as attendees received a tour of the Balmoral Tower to get a firsthand look at the impressive, newly upgraded building. Following the tour, guests were treated to “High Tea”, where participants learned about the regal history of the building, which included details on the Balmoral Club – vacation home to Prince Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson – and the resort’s private offshore island that served as the location for the Beatles music video, “Help”.

Sandals Resorts Chairman, Gordon “Butch” Stewart addressed guests, sharing details on Sandals Royal Bahamian’s latest update, and why he continues to invest in his product to consistently create an experience that exceeds guests’ expectations. Notable guests included Prime Minister Hubert Alexander Ingraham, Minister of Tourism & Aviation Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace, and President of the BHA Stuart Bowe.

The new Balmoral Tower accommodations have been completely renovated and now feature solid mahogany furnishings, plasma TVs, and luxurious bathroom amenities with soaking tubs and his and her vanities. The most impressive addition to the resort accommodations is the addition of 35 balconies to beachfront rooms and suites in the Balmoral Tower, offering direct ocean views.  Additionally, the 11 new Bahamian Beachfront Walkout Suites allow guests to walk directly from private patios onto the pool deck, complete with newly-opened romantic lounge areas featuring fire pits, which are already a huge hit with guests.
