Sandals Sponsored Golfer Swings Into First Place Again
Wesley Brown of Jamaica swung into first place for the second time this summer as he competed and won again in in the NGA TOUR Carolina Summer Series.
Competing earlier this Summer at Aberdeen Golf Club where he scored his first pro tournament win, Brown is not slowing his drive.
Starting his final round two shots behind his competitor at the series' Brunswick Plantation, Wesley Brown went out in 34, and his competitor in 38, giving Wesley a one shot advantage over another contender from Hartsville, SC who also posted 34 on the outward nine. The Inward nine was nip and tuck, but a birdie on hole 17 secured a three shot margin of victory for Wesley along with his second consecutive win of the summer series.
Wesley Brown sent out a big thank you to all the great people back in Jamaica "especially my father and mother; Wesley Sr. and Claudette Brown as well as all my siblings back in Jamaica!"
Brown also wanted to thank his manager Tony Banks and Sandals family, David Roper for their help and making it possible for him to compete, as well as Dave Reid, who was critical in encouraging & helping Wesley start the journey as a professional golfer.
The humble Brown went on to thank the Sandals Resorts organization, namely Crissano Dalley, Stephen Hector, and CEO Adam Stewart, for their continued support of his professional golf endeavors.
Sandals Resorts is proud of Wesley's Caribbean roots and will continue to support his golfing talent. Stay tuned for more updates on the promising Sandals' Golf Pro as he keeps the competition running hot this summer. To learn how you can take a shot on the green where Wesley trained and mastered his golf skills, checkout Sandals.com for details on golfing at Sandals Grande Riviera and Beaches Ocho Rios' local golf course--the Sandals Golf & Country Club.
