Class is in session this month as the American Sailing Association (ASA) journeys to the Caribbean to offer our sailing supervisors a refresher course. The ASA, in conjunction with Beaches’ Sailing School, customized an experience sailing course for teens and pre-teens interested in becoming certified sailors while visiting Beaches Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Beaches Negril (Jamaica) or Beaches Turks & Caicos.

Sandals Resorts International’s Watersports Director, Michael Clarke, and his team began the re-certification course with ASA instructor Dave Lumian in early March from the shoreline of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

“As the only customized sailing programs in the Caribbean, including now Barbados, we’ve created a simple and fun internationally-recognized sailing program like no other at any other resort in this region,” said Clarke.
